Easter part 3: egg hunt and baskets.

This is the final Easter post (I promise!)  

The Easter Bunny came!  He brought the boys, roller skates, sun glasses, and new hats.  He also hid lost of eggs all over the house (it was pouring rain outside).

The boys were so excited about finding the eggs.  They were running all over the house, giggling and so happy.  Jake even showed Austin where some were hidden (what a good brother).

You can also see our new couches and rug in these pictures.  Our other ones were falling apart, so we decided to take the plunge and buy new ones.  They are really cute and comfortable.  

They have been playing with the eggs all week.  I'm sure they will be disappointed when we finally put them away.

Easter part 2: Family pictures.

So this year we actually got some good pictures of the boys together.  This last year they have really become best buddies.  Don't get me wrong, they fight as much as they play together, but I guess that's just how siblings are!  It's funny to compare last year's Easter pictures with this years.  What a difference!

Easter part 1: dying eggs.

We had a fun Easter weekend with the boys.  I had so many pictures that I decided to split it up into different posts.  Saturday we had a primary breakfast and egg hunt in the morning, and in the evening we colored eggs.  

Earlier in the week Grandma & Grandpa Monson sent an Easter package for the boys.  Here they are showing off their new shirts. 

The night before Easter we dyed eggs with the boys.  It was so much fun for Jake this year.  He was so artistic and wanted to put the eggs in the dye all by himself.  I guess he's growing up.

Austin also had lots of fun.  He colored the eggs really well and had a blast!

Don't mind me.  I didn't get ready that day!  (Oh, do you notice how Jake decorated my jeans?  I had about twenty Easter stickers to show off!)

Gary had finished putting Austin's new bed together that day, so we decided to let him try it out.  He was so excited!

Jake was just as excited as Austin; they were so hyped up after a fun day.  The first night didn't go very well.  At first it was cute, because they were giggling and excited, but after hours of not sleeping, Jake was tired and getting annoyed at Austin.  We kept checking up on them, and Jake would be covering his head, and Austin was running around the room. At about midnight, Gary moved Austin back into his crib.  Neither of the boys had fallen asleep yet.  Luckily, since that night, Austin has actually fallen asleep at normal time.  We have yet to try him in the bed at nap time.  I'm afraid of how he'll do!  Wish us luck!

March update.

Here is a quick update for the month of March.  

Jake really picked up his new bike a couple of weeks ago.  He gets to the top of the driveway, and balances his way down the slope.  He is really good, and it's pretty fun to watch!

He could even balance down the slope, looking up at the moon.  What a pro!

Austin had to have his helmet on too.  

On St. Patrick's Day, I had mentioned to Jake that it would be fun to make some green chocolate chip cookies, but I was way too pooped to do it.  This gave Gary an opportunity to step in, and Jake was so excited.

Jake had to test them to make sure they were good for the rest of us to eat!

The other day Jake and Austin were playing with the Mr. Potato Head toys, I looked over, and Austin added  this to his face.  I was laughing so hard, and luckily he left it on for a quick picture.

Lately.

We have had a great February so far!  The boys loved getting Valentines out to grandparents and cousins, and receiving some in the mail as well.  We also had a fun day yesterday.  Gary's work had a party to celebrate how well they did during a week long of inspections.  We got to join a pizza party for lunch, then head over to a roller skating rink.  The boys had a blast!

Making Valentines Cards for Daddy.  We were able to go and visit him for lunch  on Valentines day, and had a great dinner at home!

Presents.  Gary surprised me with some flowers!  (Hot pink roses, just like our wedding).  We had decided to go out the following night for our gift to each other this year, but hey, I won't turn down flowers from my sweet husband!

Jake and Austin got some silly slippers.  When they walk, the  eyes pop up on these ones.

Cheese.  We were so excited when they actually had a pair Austin's size.  He was a pro in no time, and I think there is a little dare devil inside of him.  He kept wanting to do it all by himself.  

(Did you notice Austin's black eye?  Yep, Jake poked Austin in the eye the other day.  I'm sure it is the first of many to come).

They had these little balancing things for the kids.  They were wonderful, and saved my back!   After a little bit, the boys were able to go around all by themselves.  It was pretty cute.  

21 weeks prego!

Today I am 21 weeks pregnant!  (Gary took this picture yesterday, so I guess it's not quite a 21 week pic).  I realized after catching up on the blog, that I forgot to update about the pregnancy so far.  At our 13 week ultrasound we were told that it looked like a boy and a girl, but since it was early, we shouldn't count on it 100%.  Again at about 18 weeks, we were told that they were right to begin with.  We are expecting a BOY and a GIRL!  I have been feeling pretty good, but I am feeling huge already!  It will be interesting to see how big I get (hopefully not too big!)  

About 21 weeks along.  I am officially over the half way mark.

Here are a couple of pictures of the boys from yesterday.  Jake has been doing this  everyday lately.  He growls, and sometimes he says he's a "scary monster" or other times he's a "silly monster."  Either way, it's pretty funny.  (I don't think Austin thought it was funny though!)

Austin continually gets bigger everyday.  Doesn't he look so grown up?

Snow day!

On the 17th, we actually got snow here!  It has been an interesting month.  One day it will be in the 70s, and the next it will be cold.  The boys were overjoyed that it snowed, and Gary and I were excited, because work was delayed until noon!  That morning we bundled up and headed out to play in the snow.

The snowman was moved to the front yard, so we could look at it through the front window.

Gary got a little creative, and gave this one a Booty!  The snowman didn't last long.  By the time Gary got home from work, the snow had melted and the snowman was falling apart.  Jake was so upset and for the next week talked about how his snowman broke.
